Integration Process

The following phases outline the general steps for all SiteMinder API integrations. While specific details may vary slightly depending on the API, these phases provide a clear overview of the process.

Phase 1 - Initiation During the initiation phase, API details and documentation will be provided, and all necessary information will be gathered to start the integration process. A test account will be created for your development team to begin working in a controlled environment.

Phase 2 - Development In this phase, access to the test account and essential resources (such as API documentation and support materials) will be shared. Your development team can begin coding and testing the integration in the designated test environment, ensuring smooth integration with SiteMinder's platform.

Phase 3 - Certification Once development is complete, the integration will undergo a certification process. This involves executing specific test scenarios and following a detailed test plan. Checks will be conducted to ensure that the integration complies with all necessary requirements. Successful completion of this phase will result in official certification of the integration.

Phase 4 - Production Following certification, production configuration will be finalized, and the integration will move into the production environment. A pilot phase will begin, connecting a hotel or property to the production system to verify operational readiness. This phase acts as a live operational trial, ensuring the connection functions as expected.

Phase 5 - Live Once the production pilot is successfully completed, the connection will be officially marked as live within SiteMinder. Internal teams will be notified, and the integration will be fully operational for ongoing use.
