The SiteConnect reservation email is an optional feature that must be requested by the connecting OTA before certification. This standardised email template is designed for SiteMinder partners that cannot send booking notifications directly to hotels.
Key points:
Non-Customisable: The reservation email cannot be customised and is not intended to replace the OTA's booking notification email when the hotel does not have a SiteMinder connection.
Room and Rate Descriptions: If RoomDescription and RatePlanDescription are not provided in the reservation XML, the email will not include any room type names or rate descriptions. It is highly recommended to include these details when using SiteConnect reservation notifications.
Daily Room Rate Breakdown: The breakdown of daily room rates will only be displayed if the rates are sent under the AmountAfterTax attribute. If only the AmountBeforeTax attribute is used, the breakdown cannot be provided.
